Nasreddin Hodja decided to get into the business world. He bought eggs for 5 para apiece, he dyed them into bright colours, and sold them at the Aksehir market place for 3 para apiece. A friend of the Hodja noticed that something was amiss about this setup.
`Hodja Effendi, you pay 5 para for each egg, right?'
`Right.'
`After you dye them, you sell them for 3 para each. What kind of a bargain is this?'
The Hodja realized that he had blundered, but he didn't want to admit his mistake.
`My dear fellow,' he said, `I am profiting from the dye!'
